Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos has once again been named as one of the best islands in the world by TripAdvisor reviewers.

This time Providenciales received a Traveler’s Choice Award as #4 Island in the World.

Award winning islands were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions on islands worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period, as well as traveler booking interest on TripAdvisor.

According to TripAdvisor, Providenciales is one of the world’s top beach destinations. The diving and snorkeling is as convenient as it is stunning, thanks to miles of coral reef that’s easily accessible from the shore. The upscale resorts and captivating beachscapes of Grace Bay make it a popular choice for waterfront escapes. The cliffs and crags of Chalk Sound make a lovely backdrop for kayaking the bright turquoise waters.

“In addition to their truly magnificent landscapes, the Travelers’ Choice Islands are home to highly rated hotels, restaurants and attractions, and are brimming with unique culture,” said TripAdvisor spokeswoman Julie Cassetina.
