thing to do turks and caicsoOur island of Providenciales is blessed with a pristine natural environment that offers many opportunities to plan day trips and excursions.

Most of our guests come to experience the magnificent powdery white sand and turquoise waters of Grace Bay Beach, right in front of our resort. However, if you are an explorer there are many excursions to choose from close by.

Golf

Our resort is located (literally) just across the street from a brilliant golf course, The Provo Golf Club – noted for a challenging round of golf, while maintaining a quick pace of play, Provo Golf Club offers four sets of tees for all golfing levels and premium TaylorMade golf clubs for rental. The championship facilities include lush fairways and immaculate greens, a full service pro-shop, practice chipping and putting areas, flood-lit tennis and Fairways Bar and Grill.

Paddle Boarding

Stand-Up Paddling (SUP) is popular all over the world. Did you know that Grace Bay Beach is one of the best places on earth to learn how to do it? The beach in front of our resort is protected by a barrier reef about a mile offshore. This makes Grace Bay Beach a wonderful place to try out SUP.

And if you fall in the water close to shore is quite shallow – and the perfect temperature for a swim.

Kayaking

Kayaking is another wonderful way to explore the beautiful waters of Grace Bay Beach. From your vantage point just above the waves the crystal clear waters of Grace Bay provide a fascinating glimpse at underwater marine life.

The mangrove shallows at the northern tip of Providenciales are quite close by to the Venetian resort as well, making for a memorable half-day excursion.

Windsurfing

Once again, the placid waters of Grace Bay Beach are a perfect place for children and adults alike to learn how to windsurf. More experienced windsurfers can head over to Long Bay Bay Beach, a short drive away on the opposite side of the island.

Reliable trade winds make Long Bay Beach one of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing locations in the Caribbean.

Snorkeling

While Providenciales offers many guided trips to prime snorkeling spots, our resort is also a short drive away from Bight Reef. Located in the heart of Providenciales, Bight Reef is an expansive reef accessible right from shore.

More experienced swimmers can explore the marked marine trail of Smith’s Reef, just to the west of Turtle Cove Marina.

For information about how to get to these snorkeling spots, guided tours, and borrowing snorkeling gear, please talk to our concierge.

Bicycling

Bicycles provide an enjoyable and convenient way to explore the area around the Venetian resort. Bicycles are available for use by Venetian guests, can be used to travel to the nearby Graceway Gourmet Supermarket, to restaurants, or to another quiet section of beach.
