The Venetian on Grace Bay’s Top 5 Things to Do For Families
As summer starts to wind down (how is it going by so fast?) check out our bucket list of Turks and Caicos activities for families. If you’ve been here and have already crossed these all off your list, don’t worry – if you check off all 5, we’ve got 201 more things to do!
1. Just Relax on the World’s Best Beach
Grace Bay Beach, routinely ranked as the best beach in the world, is also our favorite local beach.
Once you arrive, it’s easy to see why. Grace Bay Beach just steps from the Venetian resort, and the powdery sand and turquoise water is heaven on earth for parents and children alike. The water is warm and calm, and the soft sand is perfect for making sand castles.
2. Get Out on the Water and Explore
Grace Bay Beach and the other beaches of Turk and Caicos are more than just the most beautiful beaches in the world—they’re also the gateway to the pristine natural environment of the Caribbean that can be found nowhere else on earth.
Explore the mangroves of Leeward, just a short drive from the Venetian Resort. Take a guided kayak tour of the sandy cays that stretch out to the north of Providenciales. Or just make your way by SUP down beautiful Grace Bay Beach.
3. Get Under the Water and Explore
The Coral Gardens reef on the west end of Grace Bay Beach is a great location to take kids snorkeling.
The reef is just steps from the beach and is easily identifiable thanks to the colorful markers floating on the waves.
Floating around in waist-deep water, it’s easy for the kids to spot turtles eating sea grass. Docile stingrays are also frequent visitors to the reef. If your kids listen carefully they will hear the parrotfish chomping on the coral.
4. Enjoy a Dinner Under the Stars
Providenciales is home to an amazing variety of restaurants. There are beach bars, open-air bistros, high-end eateries offering world cuisine, and even informal food-truck fare served from a retro trailer. Best of all, these restaurants are often within walking distance from our Turks and Caicos resort.
Dining under the stars is a great way to experience the wonderful natural beauty of the Caribbean while rekindling romance with your loved one.
5. Spend Quality Time With Family
With its location on the beach, just steps away from the warm and shallow sea, The Venetian on Grace Bay is the perfect spot to plan your family vacation in beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands. In fact, the entire island of Providenciales is full of things for kids to do.
Indeed, Providenciales has been named one of the “The Best Caribbean Islands for Family Vacations” by Caribbean Journal. On top of that, Grace Bay Beach is regularly named the world’s best beach. With its turquoise waters and beautiful powdery sand, Grace Bay Beach beats out beaches in Brazil, Cuba and the Seychellesto claim the top spot.
